THE PORCH Event Guidelines

 

At THE PORCH, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and positive community environment. To uphold these standards, we prohibit events that include any of the following:

  1. Misleading or Deceptive Content
    • Events containing false or misrepresentative information.
  1. Lack of Transparency
    • Events that do not clearly disclose any additional costs associated with ticket purchases.
  1. Disrespectful Behavior
    • Any form of hate speech, divisive content, or bullying.
  1. Violence and Dangerous Activities
    • Events promoting or involving unregulated dangerous activities, including but not limited to:
    • Animal abuse
    • Self-harm or suicide
    • Extreme violence, including:
    • Sharing materials intended to facilitate violence
    • Praising acts of violence
    • Dangerous organizations
    • The promotion or distribution of weapons and firearms
  1. Gambling
    • Events created solely for the purpose of gambling, such as sweepstakes or lotteries.
  1. Invasion of Privacy
    • Collecting sensitive information (e.g., credit card details, Social Security numbers, financial data) that is not necessary for event administration.
  1. Sexually Explicit Content
    • Events featuring or promoting sexually explicit material.
  1. Spam and Commercial Promotions
    • Selling content primarily to promote unrelated commercial products or services, or linking to deceptive or misleading URLs.
  1. Unauthorized Content
    • Including content that you do not have the legal right to use.
  1. Illegal Activities
    • Events involving illegal activities, such as:
    • Controlled substances
    • Child endangerment or exploitation
    • Fraud
    • Interference with national security

By adhering to these guidelines, we can ensure that THE PORCH remains a vibrant, welcoming, and safe community for all participants and organizers.
